Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is an American professional basketball player for the L . A . Clippers on the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he's got started exclusively at the position of point guard. Paul has received the NBA Rookie of the Year Medal, an Olympic gold medal, and brought a NBA on assists 3 times and steals six times. He's got recently been elected to 7 NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and six All-Defensive clubs.
Paul is a McDonald's All-American in high school. He attended Wake Forest University for just two years of college basketball when he helped the Demon Deacons obtain their first ever number one ranking. He has been selected 4th all round in the 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded into the Clippers in 2011.
At December 8, 2011, the Hornets accepted a three-team trade transferring Paul on the L . A . Lakers. A NBA, that owned the team during the time, nullified the offer, with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans would be better off holding Paul.The teams involved on the trade tried out to negotiate the league to change its ruling and reconstruct the offer to no avail.On December 12, the Hornets approved a trade sending Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers, even so the deal broke down once the NBA added further demands to the authentic conditions. 2 days further, the teams finally formed the trade, sending Paul and two future second round draft picks for the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and also Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick inside the 2012 draft.
